no lines and lines
it's february, usually the time of year that i have to renew the registration of the car. also, since the DMV and RevnTax offices are close to each other, i prefer to file our income tax returns at the same time. and usually, i do it sometime first or second week of february.
so i did these errands today, on my lunch break. it was a breeze going thru DMV (dept of motor vehicles) because i downloaded the forms from the internet so when i got there, i just lined up, paid and left. not even 5 minutes! i think it would be really, really fast when they accept online renewals. hahaha
for revntax, i had to find my way around the bldg because this is the first time that i have to file thru the cashier. it's the first year that we are not getting a refund, plus we have to pay more. waaaahhh!!!! i made errors in the computation of my deductions, so we end up paying more this year. mind you, it's not a small amount. but it's not that big either. but i could have bought the couch that was on sale at kwong hwa. howell.... but still the process was quick. i paid (and they accept credit cards too!), they stamped, i left. maybe did this for 10 minutes. there weren't a lot of people yet because filing deadline is not till april 15 anyway.
ok 15 minutes gone from my lunch break. it took me 10 minutes to get from work to DMV. 25 minutes, i still have 35 to go. i'll just grab my lunch to go and if there's time i can eat in the lounge.
i've been wanting to eat subway for a couple of days now and as i saw subway down the street, i decided to stop and get my lunch from there. ha! it took me 30 minutes to get my order as the line was so long (remember, lunch break). so, i end up eating lunch at my desk, while reading my email. as an afterthought, i should have just gone drive-thru at taco bell. hehehe
